Ca'Macana
Venice is well-known for its exquisite handmade and handpainted Venetian masks. Ca'Macana stocks the most wonderful examples of this specialized art. You can see their entire mask collection on the website. Ca'Macana is one of the oldest studios in Venice. Masks have been made here since 1980. That year, after two centuries of inactivity, the Venice Festival was revived. The masks are used primarily during the annual spring carnival, although Ca'Macana's masks were also used in the film 'Eyes Wide Shut' starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
