The quickest way to get from A to B in Rome is by metro. There are two metro lines, line A and line B. Metros run every 3 to 8 minutes from 5.30 a.m. until 23.30 p.m. Tickets are available from vending machines, kiosks or tobacconists. Your ticket has to be stamped, and then remains valid for use on both the metro and the bus for 75 minutes.
