Favela Chic

Favela Chic

What starts out as a Brazilian restaurant at the beginning of the evening, later transforms itself into a vibrant party. At 23.00 p.m. Favela Chic's restaurant closes its doors and the tables are pushed to one side: it's party time. Weekends are expecially busy and the crowd is made up predominantly of Latino fans. If you decide you'd like to hear something other than the Brazilian music played here, the trendy Oberkampf nieghbourhood offers plenty of other opportunities. [Read more]

Opera Garnier

Opera Garnier

Charles Garnier was commissioned to design Opera Garnier by Napoleon III in 1862. It's a magnificent building, both inside and out. The interior is fitted out in red velvet and gold leaf, and features stairs of carrara marble. The ceiling is the work of Chagall, the famous painter. These days the opera is used mostly for performances of classical ballet. Attending a performance here is an unforgettable experience. Tip: if that doesn't fit into your schedule, there are daily tours. See the website for additional information. It's also possible to buy tickets for the performances online. [Read more]
