This annual feast of fireworks takes place in Paris on 24 June. The fireworks are fired off from Ile Saint-Louis in the Seine and hundreds of people gather on the Quai Saint-Bernard to watch the impressive and colourful display. Paris celebrates the shortest night of the year and honours John the Baptist, a Jewish prophet who preached the gospel until around 30 A.D. The marvellous view from the bridge reveals a side of Paris you haven't seen before!
