Buddha del Mar
Buddha del Mar is Madrid's hippest club. The most fabulous cars stand in front of the door, and you'll often spot football players from Real Madrid and other Spanish celebrities. The club lies about 8 kms outside Madrid beside the motorway, so you have to get a bus or taxi there. It's lavishly decorated with just a hint of the East and an abundance of sofas to lounge on. There's also excellent dining downstairs. The music varies from hiphop, R&B and pop to house. Put a bit of effort into what you wear, and you'll get in with ease.

Ananda
Ananda is Madrid's best open air discotheque. It lies near Atocha station and is especially enjoyable during the summer. There's a big VIP area dotted with comfortable sofas to lounge on. Dance to your heart's content to the sound of house and the ultimate classics. The two rooms inside feature different music. Drinks are on the expensive side, but on a balmy summer night it's easy to enjoy yourself both inside and outside on the open air terrace. The terrace is closed during the winter, but it's definitely just as much fun inside!

Flamenco at Las Carboneras
Las Carboneras means enjoying Flamenco in a hip Madrilenian way. Cliched posters of bulls and ornately decorated fans are substituted with modern, flamenco-inspired art. The popular bar, where you can also sample traditional Spanish fare with a contemporary twist, is much breezier than its conventional counterparts and also draws a much younger crowd. Fortunately the dance itself has not been tampered with and you can watch some of the most passionate dancers that the capital city has to offer. Without a doubt the perfect start to an evening's entertainment.
