Lisbon

Restaurants

You'll find a bunch of restaurants, cafes and “brasseries” in every city. Below is a selection of nice venues where you can enjoy local food and/or culinary delights.

Bica do Sapato

Bica do Sapato

A superhip fun place with a fabulous view over the Tagus. It's definitely the place to see and be seen. Delicious fresh fish - just as you'd expect! Sushi fans should visit the second floor. They have an extensive wine list and the waiters will help you to make the perfect choice for your dish. John Malkovich is even one of the owners. After dinner, you could go and visit the club next door. It is called Lux; a fun way to end the night. [Read more]

Espaco Lisboa

Espaco Lisboa

This old nineteenth century factory hall has been transformed into one of the nicest and hippest meeting places in Lisbon. You'll find the most delicious local starters like Portuguese cheese, smoked ham and tsaty little sausages. Mouth-watering fish dishes are prepared on the grill above massive black wood-burning ovens. The interior has been renovated. All in all Espaco Lisboa is an absolute must go! [Read more]

XL

XL

Great food in the authentic atmosphere of the old city of Sao Bento. Simple, but delicious and plentiful is the best way to describe the menu. If you can afford to put on an extra kilo, try the Tournedos (normal or XL) with foie gras and port - to die for! Most people think that this restaurant is a very trendy place, but this is not the case. The XL will never lose its flavour due to trendiness, but will stay true to its own style. Its interior is dominated by warm colours and the place is very rustic and refined, but the atmosphere is very cosy and intimate. We do advise you to make reservations beforehand. [Read more]
