Florence's official taxis are white and wait at official taxi ranks. Official taxi ranks are found near the station, on Piazza di Santa Maria Novella, Piazza di San Marco, Piazza delle Repubblica and the Via Pelicceria. Florence taxis are not a cheap way of getting around.
