Coffee bar New York
This lovely coffee house is designed by Alajos Hauszmann, who also constructed the royal fortress. The coffee house has ceilings painted with frescos and adorned with beautiful chandeliers. You can get very good coffee here with a wide variety of over delicious pastries. National and international newspapers are available for reading. In its heydays, New York was the biggest and the most beautiful coffee house in town, where artists and other creative minds used to meet. Nowadays this place invites other people in Budapest as well for a drink.

Arcade Bistro
Arcade Bistro can be found at the foot of the Buda Hills and is one of the best restaurants on the Buda side of town. A convivial relaxed atmosphere pervades the restaurant. The interior is modern and luxuriously appointed, and the pleasingly decadent menu is in keeping with this. The restaurant features Hungarian cuisine with French and Italian influences, and the results are pleasantly surprising.

Ruszwurm
Ruszwurm is built in 1827 and is still in its original state. The building is a bit weather-beaten and the furniture has been replaced once in a while, but the owners try to preserve its original state. Ruszwurm used to treat children with sweets, but nowadays you can have a nice lunch in this old candy shop. A cup of coffee with the popular dish Dobos Torta: a multi-layered pie with a crust of crusty sweet caramel.
