The International Wine Festival

The International Wine Festival is the biggest gastronomic event of the year. The popular festival will be held for the 17th time in Buda Castle in early September. Wine and the culture of wine are the focus of attention. During the festival wine growers and Budapest's top restaurants present their best wines. These wines come from all over the country and sometimes also from abroad. Entertainment, such as dance and music, accompanies the wine programme. Lectures, tastings and workshops are also given. Danube Carnival

Danube Carnival

Danube Carnival has been celebrated in Budapest since 1996. It's an international cultural festival and will be held for the thirteenth time this year. The eight day festival is filled with music and dance programmes. All sorts of shows are staged throughout central Budapest, from pop concerts and modern dance to world music and much more.
