Transportation
Public transport In Brussels
Brussels has an extensive public transport network which is inexpensive and easy to follow. The central city area is crisscrossed by two main and three subsidiary metro lines. The trams run through tunnels so it's not always easy to tell the difference between metro and tram. Metro stations are indicated by a white M on a blue background, while bus and tram stops are indicated by red and white, and blue and white signs. Click on the link below for a clear overview of the metro lines. Tickets can be bought in the metro stations, at numerous newspaper kiosks, or at the tourist offices at the stations, the Grote Markt or the Grasmarkt.
