Cycling in Brussels is easy and is a good alternative when you've had enough of public transport. Do keep an eye out though, because Brusselites aren't yet used to cyclists. You can rent bikes from a company called Provelo. Rentals go by hour, day or weekend. All you need is a passport or ID card to leave behind as security.
