Heritage Days will be held in Brussels for the 22st time on 17 and 18 September. Over 61 monuments in the city centre that are normally closed or partly closed to the public throw open their doors. You'll be able to admire the inside of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, also known as the cigar. Apart from the usual programme, twenty of Brussels's buildings which proved popular attractions during previous Heritage Days will also be open. The second day, 20 September, coincides with a car free Sunday, so Brussels will be the domain of pedestrians and cyclists.
