The Reiefeest

The Reiefeest (rei=canal in Flemish) is an open air spectacle staged at numerous locations throughout Bruges' historic centre. Memorable moments from Bruges' past are re-enacted along the canals. During all this, attention repeatedly focuses on the historic buildings which form the backdrop and on the water. Various short events are staged, which are then repeated a number of times throughout the course of the evening. Once on the circuit, people can decide themselves the order in which they watch the various scenes. Brugge Centraal is an enormous city festival lasting four months during which you can admire the works of renowned artists of Bruges and Central Europe.
