Taxis are an efficient and safe means of transport in Barcelona. They're allowed to use all the city's tram and bus lane. Taxis are recognizable by their bright yellow and black colours and the fact that they're almost all Seats! There are plenty of taxis in Barcelona and you can usually just hail one in the street. Taxis all have metres which show two rates. The cheap daily rate (rate 1) and the more expensive evening rate (rate 2).
