Placa de Sol is a pleasant friendly square located at the end of Passeig de Gracia, in the Gracia district. Placa del Sol forms the centre of activity in Gracia, a neighbourhood which has its own unique friendly atmosphere, especially in the evenings. Bars and pubs with terraces are concentrated around the square, although when the weather's nice, the majority of people still prefer sitting on the ground. Placa del Sol is a favorite hang-out among Barcelona's youth. You can buy a cheap cold beer from the street vendors waitiing around the square.
