Hotspots
Every city has its own hotspots. Whether the sun is shining or it's raining cats and dogs, there are lots of activities awaiting you!
Guell Park
Gaudi designed this park as an ideal dream town far from the rush of the big city. The town was never realized, and only two of the sixty houses originally planned were ever built. In the park you'll find, among other things, Gaudi's signature mosaics and the steps with the famous coloured chameleon. You'll get the best view from the mountain at the 'mirador' (lookout). Lower down in the park you can admire a number of Gaudi monuments. Casa Museo Gaudi is located within the park, and you can view many personal items that once belonged to Gaudi and various designs by his contemporaries here.

Cosmo Caixa
A five-storeyed interactive science museum. In the 'Toca Toca' room you can see and touch spiders and snakes. The 'Salon de la Materia' houses an exhibition about the origins of the universe. The 'El muro Geologico' room contains a huge 65 metre geological wall and a model of a glacier from Brazil. In the 'El bosque Inundado', a large section of flooded rain forest from Brazil's Amazon jungle is represented. You'll be deceived into thinking you're in the middle of the jungle, complete with plants, animals and even a tropical rain shower. A great museum experience for young and old!

Waxworks Museum Barcelona
Barcelona's Waxworks Museum, Museu de la Cera, lies hidden at the end of the Rambla in a former bank. Over 350 wax statues stand in the museum including, as you might expect, those of Gaudi and Franco and many other Spanish celebrities. Useful tip: after your visit enjoy a drink at the offbeat cafe located opposite the museum. At El Bosc de les Fades you'll be deceived into thinking you're in a trolls' forest, surrounded by living trees, little waterfalls, and long tables and chairs. Unique and entertaining!
