Information about Citytrips-Europe
Varied accommodations
To improve customer services even further, Euro Relais Special Products develops websites that enable guests to find special holidays in a unique atmosphere.
Euro Relais offers consumers holiday homes for every possible kind of holiday, from sunny summer villas in Southern Europe to mountain chalets at winter sports destinations, and from charming farmhouses for the entire family to castles that are tailored to weekend getaways with large groups of friends or family. Other options include a luxury country house with tennis courts, Jacuzzi or sauna and a simple tree house at a height of four metres. Want to take your dog on holiday? Pets are welcome at thousands of the holiday homes on offer!
An active acquisition policy is pursued, which means that numerous new and distinctive holiday homes are added every year, from cave dwellings to circus wagons, windmills to pigeon coops, and from a former school to a ship.
History
The origin of Euro Relais can be found in Ardennes Relais, founded in 1980. The company started with a collection of 6 holiday houses in the Belgian Ardennes. In 1987 the offer grew with the addition of Dutch holiday houses and the company changed its name from Ardennes Relais to Euro Relais. The first holiday parks make their appearance when Euro Relais introduces France in 1995.
Euro Relais is one of the first travel organizations to offer on line booking in 1999. This is a great contribution to the success of Euro Relais in the following years. The range of travel products increases in the following years, including destinations such as Great Britain, Slovakia, Italy, Spain and the Alps. In 2003, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany and Portugal join the ranks. Since 2004, Croatian homes have been included in the portfolio and, in 2005, Turkish and Danish homes. The most recent addition, in 2007, was Luxembourg, bringing the total number of countries to 17.
Since 2005, Euro Relais has been operating under the parent company of Leasure Invest, which also took charge of Belvilla in 2007. Both brand names will continue to be used in the Netherlands and Belgium, whereas only the Belvilla name will be used in the rest of Europe starting in 2008. With a total of 12,000 holiday homes, Belvilla-Euro Relais is now one of the largest holiday home rental companies in Europe.
